Today's post isn't related to anything crafty or DIY, but it is related to your home.
I'm posting today about Carbon Monoxide and it's dangers. Carbon Monoxide is an odorless, colorless gas that is omitted into the environment as a by product of fossil fuels. Because it is odorless, colorless, tasteless and has no odor, many people do not realize they have problem until it is too late.
It is imperative that you have Carbon Monoxide detectors outside the sleeping areas on each level of your home. It is also important to have one in the living areas as well. Carbon Monoxide detectors are widely available at any hardware store, or big box store. Be sure to change the batteries in your detectors at least twice a year.
Should your Carbon Monoxide detector activate, call 911 immediately. The only way to be sure that the activation of your detector is a malfunction is to have trained personnel come in with monitors and take air quality readings inside the home. Once you call 911, close all of your windows and doors (so that the fire personnel can get the most accurate readings of the air quality in your home) and wait outside in the fresh air.

As usual, I'm a day late and a dollar short but hey!
How was your Valentine's Day?
I love Valentine's Day, although I really hate the commercialism of it. :0/
Valentine's Day was always my Grandmother's favorite holiday. She always used to tell us about my Grandfather coming home from the war on February 14th. I always thought that was the sweetest story.
When we were kids she used to always have plenty of supplies on hand for us to make Valentine's Day decorations and cards. Even years later after I had married and had my own kids, she would take out those decorations and cards and display them every year!
She is always on my mind this time of year. <3 center="">
This year the hubs and I spent a really nice day together. We did a little shopping and had a nice dinner.
I thought I'd share with you a little gift that I put together for my daughter and her bestie. I picked up some cute Valentine's Day flip flops at The Christmas Tree Shop, picked up pedicure gift certificates at our favorite nail salon and tied them together with a pretty bow. Matching pedis! They loved them!
