Be brave!

A friend of my son's just left for college and is already feeling a little home sick. He's also a volunteer firefighter in our fire company, and is studying fire science in school.

To cheer him up, I made him this little sign that he can put on his desk or dresser in his dorm room.

Always be awesome and always be brave!

Kelly Clarkson!

A group of friends and I went to see Kelly Clarkson in concert last weekend!

The concert was held at The Bethel Woods Performing Arts Center here in NY. The venue is on the site of the original Woodstock and is soo beautiful!

This is me with two my friends, Jenn and Ali, just goofing around! Oh hey onlooker girl behind us! Hahaha!
The concert was amazing! Carolina Liar opened up for Kelly and The Frey.
Kelly was unbelievable live!

We had so much fun!

Laters, baby!

I don't know if you've read the 50 Shades of Grey trilogy by E.L. James, but it's wildly popular!

I decided a couple of months ago to make this little sign with a popular line used by the main character, Christian Grey. Kind of as a joke, just to see how it would be received!

Holy crap is it popular! I can't make these babies fast enough! Hee Hee!

Want one? Just let me know!

Anything Boys Can Do...

Girls can do better!

Sometimes girls/women need a little extra encouragement when taking on an activity that is typically one done by the boys!

As a female firefighter for more than 25 years, I know this first hand! You have to have a certain mindset and an attitude that you will achieve your goals no matter what. I've seen many play the "girl card" and expect special treatment. You know what? They are the ones that fail! Each and every time!

This is something that I've tried to instill in my daughter. Do whatever your heart desires and give it your all! Never expect an easy path! In the end it will be so much more rewarding!

To encourage my daughter and all the others out there like her and I, I designed this sweet little sign...

My plan is to make a series of these signs for different activities! First up will be football, because my beautiful girl decided she was going to play tackle football and was one of the toughest on the team!

You go, girls!
