Where Have You Been?

Ok, so it's more like where have I been!

I haven't had much time to get on here lately.

A couple of weeks ago, we had a major leak in our kitchen!  We started noticing that water was starting to come up from under the hardwood floors.  I thought maybe the dogs were being messy with their water bowl, but boy was I wrong!!!

Hubby looked under the cabinets and everything was covered in water!!!!

The floors were ruined, the cabinets were wet and icky.

What's a girl to do?

Renovate, of course!!!!

We had been planning on doing a complete overhaul of the kitchen this coming fall, so why wait!

I'm so excited to be finally getting new cabinets and flooring!

But... I gotta come clean... renovating brings out the absolute worst in me!!!!  It stresses me out soooo much!  I can't stand the mess, the noise, everything!

Anyway, we are well on our way.  Base cabinets are going in today!!!!

By the way, we are doing this 100% DIY!

Pictures coming soon!

Help a sister out? Please????

Later this month, my Dad's oldest brother will be turning 80!  Yay, Uncle Bob!!!

I'd like to make a really nice sign for him, but I'm stumped on the saying to put on the sign.

Any suggestions would be welcome!

Great weekend!

We had a great weekend here in NY!  I hope you all did as well!

Saturday, my cousin and his fiance were married.  It was a perfect day for a wedding!  We had the most fabulous time!

Yesterday, we spent the morning at a brunch and Memorial service with our fellow firefighters.  I hope you all took the time to remember our fallen heros, and those serving now.

We had family over for a bbq last evening.  My niece, Maddy, was the hit of the party as always!!!
