Bridal Shower

I don't know if I've ever mentioned this to you guys or not, but I have a really big family! Lots and lots of cousins and we are all very close.

This past year, it seems that they are all either getting engaged, married, or having babies!

So much fun!

Any-hoo... my cousin, John and his beautiful fiance, Maureen, are getting married Memorial Day weekend.

Maureen's bridal party gave her a shower this weekend, she had a great time!
The girls went all out! The colors for the wedding are black, white and fuschia. The entire banquet hall of our firehouse was transformed into a pink wonderland!

The made adorable labels for the wine bottles that had pictures of both of them on them. So cute!

They even purchased a fuschia high heeled shoe chair with zebra print for Maureen to sit in while she opened her gifts. Adorable! I wish I had remembered to bring my camera!
So ya'll know how much I like to add a personal touch be making part of the gifts that I give, right? Of course this occasion is no different! Hee hee!
Their invitation had a saying on it that said, "Some things were meant to be." So I incorporated this saying in their gift.

I made them the sign below. Maureen loved it, so did the rest of the party!

So, question for ya'll... John and Maureen registered for a beautiful set of china with a platinum rim.  The cost was a little pricey for a place setting.  But, I figured since Prince Charming is in the wedding party, I'd spend more than I normally would.

However, they registered for 8 place settings, and only received mine!  Would it be ok for me to ask them if they would like to purchase more place settings as a wedding gift as opposed to cash?

  3. That sign is beautiful, you did a great job on it! Having a big family must be fun. I'm not sure about your question. I don't think that would be rude to ask, they obviously want the dishes since they registered for them. I think it's thoughtful of you to want them to get what they asked for!
