GW Finds!

I headed up to Toys R Us yesterday to get a baby shower gift for my adorably pregnant SIL! There is a big Goodwill store up there that I don't get to very often. While I was up there, I figure I might as well stop in.

I found these 2 cute pitchers first. The big one was $4.99, and the little one was $1.99. While I was walking up to the cash registers, Josie spotted these 2 little signs. Cute! They were $1.99 each!!!

These are the pitchers after a few coats of creamy white paint! If it would stop raining here in NY, I'd get out and cut some tulips to put in them!!!

I decided to put the little signs on the french doors to our laundry room. Remember the recycled french doors that Prince Charming put in? You can read about them here.

I put those little signs where I did because, happily, they match this sign that I got at The Christmas Tree Shops awhile back. The wall where this hangs is just next to the french doors.

Enjoy your day and Happy Cinco de Mayo!!!

  1. Great finds Dawn! And I love the little vignette you have with the pitchers. Speaking of pitchers...did you spray paint them...and with what brand and color? Sorry for all the questions today. You're just giving me some really great ideas!

    Thanks

  2. Thanks guys!

Hey, Amanda! Don't worry about the questions, I'm just glad that I can inspire you! Yes, I did spray paint the pitchers. I used cheapo Walmart spray paint, and clear coated them with Krylon spray poly in a satin finish. These will only be able to be wiped clean now, so if you are wanting to use them for anything more than decor, you won't want to do it this way.
