Let me know what you think of this idea.

Ok, so I have been seeing posts by a lot of bloggers about various types of "Pay it Forward" projects. I think these are a great idea! I also received a good response to my Dollar Tree projects. Which led me to believe that there is an interest in inexpensive home decor and gifts.
So, it got me thinking. Who doesn't love to recieve little surprises in the mail? Who doesn't love new home decor items?
What do you think about a "Pay it Forward" using dollar store, or dollar spot projects with a limit of $5? My thought is that if you decide to participate you will create a gift or home decor item for the first person to respond to your post regarding it. These items would be created with only items from the dollar store, Michaels or Target's dollar spot, etc., and supplies that you already have on hand. Not to exceed $5. These items will be sent to that first person to comment on your blog about this project within 60 days. The date of arrival will be a surprise.
Let me know if this is something that interests you. If I get a good response to this idea, I will set it in motion in the next couple of weeks.
Can anyone help me out with a posting/editing issue? My posts are sometimes blending all together instead of spacing between paragraphs. No matter how many times I try to edit the spaces back in, they disappear when I post. Help?
Enjoy the rest of your weekend!

  1. 1. I think it's a great idea!!! (I don't know if I could participate though b/c anything I made would just not be cute!)
    2. I tagged ya back at my blog this morning. ;)
    3. If you find out about the posting issues, PLEASE let me know. Blogger hates me and often ruins my posts by lumping all my pictures and wording together without the spacing I added. Drives me nuts!!

I am really enjoying your blog, lady! :)

  2. Dawn, first off I share your blog frustrations. Sometimes the spacing stays for me, other times, not. I will mess around with my previous posts to see if I can figure something out and get back atcha!

As for the pay it forward idea, I love it! It sounds fun and I would like to participate as long as the recipient doesn't break into uncontrolable sobs at what I create! ;-) I'm not as creative as all the other ladies whose blogs I follow, so this will be a challenge for me. A big challenge! But I'm up for it! If you decide to go ahead with it, just make sure I understand the rules. Sometimes things buzz right over my head!

  3. Hi Dawn! I think this is a GREAT idea! I am SO in! I am somewhat creative so it shouldn't be too much of a challenge for me. Let me know if you need any help putting this in motion. I'm at your disposal! ~Kim

  4. I love this idea. I have liked the idea's of the pay it forwards, but it just seems so expensive to make and ship all those projects (some of them are for 5 people!), so I haven't participated yet, even though I've wanted to.

Also, the posting thing. I've found that when you put pictures in your post is when this happens. It's helps a lot to load all your pictures first, then add your text.

But that doesn't always work. I find that a lot of times I have to actually go into the "edit html" tab and put the spaces in there. I'm trying to remember how...If you put your cursor directly before the NEW paragraph, then hit return a couple of times it should fix it in your post.

    It's such a pain.

I loove me some comments! Hugs!
