Do you wish upon a star?

I do! When my dear brother passed away almost two years ago, my Josie had a really tough time dealing with it. I explained to her that her Uncle Tommy was now an angel in heaven, and if she ever needed to talk to him, just to look for the brightest, biggest star in the sky.

Now when she sees the North Star come out at night, she identifies it as Uncle Tommy.

Stars hold special meaning to us here at Eventually Cottage.

  1. G'morning Dawn-
What a sweet sentiment! I also believe angels walk the planet with us. There is soooo much more going on around us than what we actually see!

  2. I know what you mean. Rainbows hold that meaning here, when my step mother passed it rained all day at her funeral and after we left the cemetary the sun came out and there was a rainbow. My cousin said, she wanted us to know she made it to heaven with the rainbow, so touching and always remembered!

  3. I am so glad I found this post to comment on! First let me say that I am a Welcomista and I am stopping by to give you a big welcome to the SITS community! We are so glad to have you! Now, I have to tell you that I have a thing about stars. And the second I read this I wanted to give you a big hug! I did a post earlier this week, and I too, believe in wishing on stars. I don't want to go into too much detail because this is comment section, not my blog post section and that just wouldn't be fair! But my point is that I thank you for this post, I totally can relate!
